In 2027, the Amersfoort Synagogue will celebrate its 300th anniversary. A special milestone for the Jewish community in Amersfoort and far beyond. Since its consecration in 1727, the synagogue has been a place of prayer, encounter, tradition, and connection. For three centuries, this monument has held a permanent place in the city and in the lives of generations, members, and visitors.
This anniversary is a moment to reflect on the past, to commemorate and celebrate, but also to look ahead. Because the synagogue is not a museum: it is a living space, where history and the present continue to intersect.
Het jubileumprogramma bestaat onder andere uit:
Feestelijke en bijzondere diensten
Met extra aandacht voor het 300-jarig bestaan, waarin traditie, muziek en bezinning samenkomen.
Lectures and in-depth meetings
History of the synagogue, the Amersfoort Jewish community, and wider Jewish life, past and present.
Cultural activities
Concerts, exhibitions, and other programs that reflect the building's character and significance.
Opening hours and public events
Opportunities for the public to become acquainted with the building, stories, and community.
Meeting and celebrating together
The anniversary aims to create opportunities to share memories, build relationships, and celebrate the people who shape the community.
The final program will be announced gradually on this website.
